Dr Goran Helgason is in demand all over the world as a course instructor for ICL surgery and technology. Not only is he internationally recognised as a leading expert in this field, he is also living proof of the outstanding benefits of ICL, having had treatment himself in both eyes in 2004. Since 2007, Dr Helgason has been the Medical Director of Capio Medocular, Sweden’s major private eye care clinic, which he combines with his work as a consultant surgeon at AVC. His pioneering research into ICL treatment and specialist experience in multifocal Clear Lens exchange, ICL and cataract surgery means he is established as a leading authority on these procedures.
