Iris Recognition laser eye surgery technology
Like fingerprints, no two irises are the same and can be used to provide unique identification. Prior to laser eye treatment the unique fingerprint of the human iris is captured using the Zywave Aberrometer to create a detailed digital map of the eye. This map is then used by the Advanced Control Eyetracking Technology, a special feature of the Zyoptix system, to track the eye in all directions during treatment. If the eye moves during laser eye surgery, the iris tracker adjusts the laser to mirror the eye’s movement.
