Marcus' Lens Replacement Review | Advanced Vision Care

Lens Replacement Reviews – Marcus

Back to reviews

[Advanced Vision Care] ‘has made my eyesight tremendously good so my vision is fantastic now. I am very pleased with it.’

Prior to treatment, Marcus’ vision was ‘very bad’, mainly caused by his Keratoconus – a progressive eye disease where the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape deflects light as it enters your eye on its way to the light-sensitive retina, causing distorted vision.

Marcus had already had a corneal transplant 26 years ago to treat his condition but was now interested to see whether or not

‘the technology had improved such that I could have something other than a corneal transplant… Thankfully, these intraocular lenses (IOLs) now allow people to do that’.

A friend recommended AVC as a world leading eye clinic. Following his consultation, AVC recommended that he have Lens Replacement (also known as Refractive Lens Exchange) on both eyes with Trifiocal IOLs and Piggyback IOLs.

How was your Day of Surgery?

[This was] ‘very good… a bit nerve-racking’

[The aftercare was also] ‘very good… there were no problems at all’.

How is Your Vision Now?

“Excellent”

His left eye is now just 2 below 20 / 20 vision and is right eye is almost at driving standard.

Your recommendation?

He’s already recommended AVC to his friends and family.
