New Corneal Cross Linking Review – Melanie Spencer:
Melanie initially came to AVC as she was suffering from Keratoconus and was looking to see what treatments were available to treat the disease. At her first consultation, Dr Pillai advised her to have Corneal Cross Linking in her left eye, which proved to be a complete success.
Following this, Melanie decided to have Implantable Contact Lenses treatment, again with Dr Pillai at AVC.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Advanced Vision Care who instilled confidence into me over the last 18 months. With Keratoconus in my left eye, for which I always thought I would need a cornea transplant in the future, I had corneal cross linking for my degenerative cornea. I gained plus 3 vision.
Now I’ve had implantable contact lenses for my -12 and -16 vision. To wake up and see in the morning is with thanks to the miracle surgeons who performed this surgery. The care and compassion I received is absolutely incredible. Words cannot begin to express how I feel at the moment. Thank you Dr Pillai and Prof Filipec. I can see!
