Referring a Patient to AVC?

When you are an optician or optometrist and looking to refer your patient to AVC, find out if your patient has health insurance as this may mean that they not only have access to the best treatments available but often get a better deal. If your patient is not insured by one of our insurance partners, we will try and seek approval from the patients’ provider to see if it is possible to treat them.

Even if your patient is insured we will still send a fee as a thank you to reimburse you for your time and effort. Often patients that are referred want to maintain their relationship with their optometrist and we want to encourage this – we will send them back to you so that they can attend their post-operative checks locally.

At AVC, we attract people from around the world, meaning we will be sending new patients to optometrists in our network for their aftercare. All post-operative checks conducted at your practice will be paid at a rate of £35 per visit.

* Patients must consult with their insurance provider to determine if their policy covers treatment.
